On 7th July, we held our second Headteachers Conference. This year’s scholar’s presented on subjects including Relational Leadership, Character Education, Embedding Common Values throughout a MAT, the Benefits of Theraplay in Primary School and the Challenges of Staying True to Domincan Founding Principles in a Diverse Society. Lord Alderdice, former psychiatrist and leader of the Alliance Party of Northern Ireland, spoke brilliantly about wars and conflict resolution, and two Heads from opposite sides of Ukraine talked powerfully about the challenges of educating children in a war zone. Bennet Carr workshopped his book Head to Head, What Heads Would Tell Their Newly Appointed Selves.
Headteachers came from a range of schools from around the UK, some stayed in college overnight, and Jesus and Sidney Sussex colleges hosted us wonderfully well.
